I'll dominate 'legitimate combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former two-time world title holder Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive mismatch - at Miami venue on December 19th.

Fighter's Mentality

"I plan to break his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will really want to injure him. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

Despite those words, a calm Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually famous for his theatrics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

However, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, frequently receiving massive paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in round four or five and asserted he would derail the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently in the works for 2026.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul said.

Size Disparity

As both boxers participated in the usual stare-down, with their size difference evident, it highlighted just how surprising this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the fight is actually happening.
